National Legal Services Day is on 9th November

 The National Legal Services Day is observed on 9th November annually to spread awareness for ensuring reasonable fair and justice procedure for all citizens.

Highlights:

♦ National Legal Services Day (NLSD) was first begun by the Supreme Court of India in 1995 to give assistance and backing to poor and more vulnerable segments of the general public.

♦ Free legitimate administrations are given in issues before Civil, Criminal and Revenue Courts, Tribunals or some other power practising legal or semi-legal capacities.

♦ Article 39A of the Constitution gives that State will make sure about that the activity of the overall set of laws advances equity on a premise of equivalent chance, and will specifically, give a free lawful guide, by appropriate enactment or plans or in some other manner, to guarantee that open doors for making sure about equity are not denied to any resident by reason of financial or another inability.

Lawful Services Institutions that offering Free Legal Types of assistance:

National Level: National Legal Services Authority. The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) was established under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. The Chief Justice of the nation is the Patron-in-Chief.  

State Level:  It is going by the Chief Justice of the High Court of the state who is its Patron-in-Chief.

District Level: District Legal Services Authority. The District Judge is its ex-officio Chairman.  

Sub-Division/Taluka Level: Sub-Divisional/Taluka Legal Services Committee. It is by a senior Civil Judge.
