1. (b) Gandhinagar

The world's first International Centre for Humanitarian Forensics was launched at Gandhinagar in Gujarat on June 20, 2018. It is a joint venture of the Regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in India, Bhutan, Nepal and the Maldives and also Gujarat Forensic Science University.

2. (a) Google

Technology giant Google recently announced the launch of a training programme for journalists with an aim to raise awareness against misinformation and providing new tools to the fourth estate against fake news. The Google News Initiative India Training Network will provide training to 8,000 journalists in English and six other Indian languages in the next one year.

Anukreethy Vas was crowned Femina Miss India World 2018. Anukreethy, who beat 30 contestants to bag the honour, will now represent India at this year's Miss World.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDAI) constituted a 10-member committee to review norms related to Insurance Marketing Firms (IMF) with an aim to increase insurance penetration in the country. The committee, headed by Suresh Mathur (ED-IMF, IRDAI), has been asked to revisit the IRDAI (Registration of Insurance Marketing Firms) Regulations, 2015.

The annual Asia and Oceania Region Inter-Governmental Ministerial meeting on anti-doping began in Colombo, Sri Lanka on June 20, 2018 with representatives from 29 countries including India. The 15th such annual gathering is also being attended by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to discuss important anti-doping issues that will help in the fight for clean sport.
