Fund released by Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)

 Ministry of MSME, Government of India, has alerted the general public and potential entrepreneurs against cheating in the name of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).


Highlights:
♦ The PMEGP is a central sector scheme launched in 2008. It is administered by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)
♦ The PMEGP programme is being implemented by the KVIC (Khadi and Village Industries Commission) at the national level. It is the only one nodal agency for the implementation of the programme.
♦ The Scheme is implemented through banks, District Industries Centres (DICs), State KVIC Directorates and State Khadi and Village Industries Boards (KVIBs) at the state level.
♦ Individuals over the age of 18 years, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Cooperative Societies engaged with the creation, and establishments that are enlisted under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 are qualified for benefits under this program. There is no pay roof while setting up the undertaking. 
♦ Help is given distinctly to the new units, units that have profited government appropriations under either the state or the central government plans; existing units are not qualified for subsidy under PMEGP.
♦ To accomplish comprehensive development the nation over, at least 75 activities will be granted to each area. 
♦ Physically challenged, OBC, SC/STs, ladies, northeastern local candidates in rural regions are qualified for a higher pace of appropriation.
