Significance of the integration
Integration of eSanjeevani with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is an example where 22 crore ABHA holders would be able to link and store their health records, that has been created through eSanjeevani in health lockers of their choice. They would also be able share their previously linked health records with doctors on eSanjeevani. Thus, entire consultation process would become paperless.
Variants of eSanjeevani Service
The eSanjeevani service is available in two variants:
- eSanjeevani Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centre (AB-HWC)- It a doctor-to-doctor telemedicine service, using which the beneficiaries visiting a health and wellness centre would be able to virtually connect to doctors in the hub acting as a tertiary healthcare facility, a hospital or a medical college. It will enable the government in providing general and specialised health services in rural areas as well as to isolated communities.
- eSanjeevani OPD- This platform is serving patients across India by connecting them directly to doctors from their homes.
Both the variants of eSanjeevani services have been integrated with the ABDM platform. With this integration, this platform has now joined other 40 digital health applications that have completed their ABDM integration.
