Key Facts of 2021 Toy Fair Held in India

 The government will fully launch the website of the Indian Toy Fair 2021. Toy fair website will be launched on February 11, 2021. It will be initiated by Iranian Textile Minister Smriti, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Industry and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi.


Highlights:
♦ India's first toy fair (Indian Toy Fair) will be held from February 27 to March 2, 2021.
♦ The exhibition is jointly organized by the Ministry of Textiles, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. This is a virtual activity designed to provide children with happy learning opportunities.
♦ The fair will involve children in teaching, learning and promoting the indigenous toy industry. The Gandhinagar Creative Learning Center (CCL) of the Indian Institute of Technology has developed more than 200 toys for fair display.
♦ The expo will also include 75 exhibition booths from the State Council Education Research and Training Committee (SCERT), Ministry of Education, National Education Research and Training Committee (NCERT) and Ministry of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL).
♦ The idea for the toy fair came from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech at Mann Ki Baat on August 30, 2020.
♦ The Innovation Learning Center (CCL) was established in April 2017. The center consists of a team of 10 people and aims to cultivate the scientific temperament and creativity of students and teachers. CCL has created more than 200 toys and models that can be displayed in virtual events. It also acts as a panel of experts in the content provider of the toy fair.
