TIFAC unveils two new initiatives of Technology —SAKSHAM (Shramik Shakti Manch).

  • The SAKSHAM job portal will help eliminate middlemen/labor contractor as well as help identification of skill proficiency level and development of Skill Cards for Shramiks.

  • Goa has joined five other states – Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Rajasthan, and Telangana, who have completed Urban Local Bodies reforms.
  • All these five states have been granted total additional borrowing permission of ten thousand 435 crore rupees.
  • Reforms in Urban Local Bodies and the urban utility reforms are aimed at financial strengthening of Urban Local Bodies in the States and to enable them to provide better public health and sanitation services to citizens.
