Anna Hazare admitted to hospital

Photo: PTIActivist Anna Hazare has been hospitalised due to weakness following a seven-day hunger strike that he held demanding the appointment of a Lokpal. The hunger strike was held in his native village, Ralegan Siddhi.
He has been admitted to a private hospital in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar. He was shifted from Ralegan to Ahmednagar after he complained of weakness and dizziness.
Anna Hazare was unable to walk and was taken in a wheelchair to an ambulance and was then taken to the hospital's ICU.

According to one of Anna's supporter, Sanjay Pathade, the activist will be discharged on Friday.
The 82-year-old's seven-day hunger strike didn't work out well as it didn't get mass support.
