W R I T T E N  T E S T
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the Bihar Police Written Test is as Follows:-
► The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
► There will be a question paper carrying 100 questions.
► 01 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. So test will be of 100 marks.
►The Question Paper in 50 Questions Hindi, English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs & will be divided in two parts (25-25). The Subject are (Math, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, History, Geography, Political Science & Economy)
► The time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► The Question Paper Will be of 12th Standard.
Exam Syllabus: Exam Syllabus for Bihar Police Written Exam is given below:-
Hindi : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.
English : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc. & Questions Focused on English grammar.
Math : Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ration and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Mensuration.
General Studies (History, Geography and politics) : Questions of Social Study will include Indian History, Culture, Geography, Environment, Economic aspects, Freedom Movement, major features of Indian Agriculture & Natural Resources and Indian Constitution & Polity, Panchayati Raj, community development and 5 years Plan. General Knowledge of Geographical and Political condition of Bihar.
General Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) : Questions of General Science will include to test knowledge of matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who didn’t study science as a subject. It will Also Include the Knowledge of the Subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology form the level of 12th Standard.

Physical Standards Test (PST)
Height –
(1) Unreserved (Male)/ Backward Category (Male) – Minimum 165 cms
(2) SBC (Male) – Minimum 162 cms
(3) SC/ST (Male) – Minimum 160 cms
(4) Female of all categories – Minimum 155 cms
Chest (Only for male) –
(1) General/BC/SBC
Unexpanded – 81 cms
Expanded – 86 cms
(2) SC/ST/Gorkhas of India
Unexpanded – 79 cms
Expanded – 84 cms
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (100 Marks)
(1) Race – (50 Marks)
Male – 1 mile in 6 minutes
Female – 1 KM in 6 minutes
(2) High Jump – (25 Marks)
Male – Minimum 4 feet
Female – Minimum 3 feet
(4) Shot Put – (25 Marks)
Male – Throw a 16 pound shot (ball) – minimum 16 feet
Female – Throw a 12 pound shot (ball) – minimum 10 feet
