GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd(GHIAL) signed an agreement to the commission, operationalize and maintain the Civilian Enclave at Bidar Airport in North Karnataka. The agreement signed under the Regional Connectivity UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) Scheme.

Bidar Airport

The operationalization of Bidar Airport is a testimony to our commitment to support the Government of India's flagship Regional Connectivity Scheme. Union Government of Karnataka to support efforts for all-round development of Bidar and nearby regions confident that the start of commercial operations at Bidar to provide the local economy through better connectivity for the people of Bidar and a large number of tourists who visit the area. It is located in the north-eastern part of Karnataka; Bidar city is the headquarters of Bidar district. Bidar is renowned for Bidriware metal handicraft products, which is recognized with the coveted Geographical Indication (GI) tag.
