Building awareness about road safety can go a long away in reducing the number of accidents in India, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, in an exclusive interaction with Hindustan Times, said.
“We are trying our level best to involve NGOs, social and educational institutions, and the media to create awareness about road safety,” Gadkari highlighted.
The Minister also outlined some of the measures taken by the government to make roads safer, such as identifying black spots and improving infrastructure.

“We need cooperation from all stakeholders, including automobile manufacturers, to reduce the number of road accident deaths,” Gadkari, while appealing for mass support, added.
