1. World Heart Day
  • World Heart Day was observed on 29th September.
  • It was launched by the World Heart Federation in 2000.
2. India’s Next Ambassador to China
  • Vikram Misri has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to China.
  • He is currently Ambassador of India to Myanmar.
3. SAFER by World Health Organization (WHO)
  • WHO has launched SAFER Initiative with an objective to address the harmful use of alcohol, and achieve development targets.
  • It will ensure Govt. to take steps to speed up the progress on health and beat non communicable diseases.

1. Amul – Modern Food Processing Facilities
  • Narendra Modi has inaugurated modern food processing facilities at Anand Gujarat.

3. 2018 World Wrestling Championships
  • Senior World Wrestling Championships will be held in Budapest, Hungary.
  • It will start from Oct 20 to Oct 28.
